Ezekiel is one of my favorite books of the Bible. It talks about the watchman's duty and the curses and blessings that come with it. It also talks about the church that pretends to be something that it is not (some of us can see the "writing on the wall"), and gives many warnings to the "shepherds" of the church. It also includes many of the last bits of end-time prophecy -- things that show us the time of redemption is near. Amen?! Thanks for reminding us that we here in this Forum are a remnant of that true church -- the bride for whom Jesus will return. We need to be so careful where we stand -- that we don't go through all the motions of worshipping within the temple while at the same time desecrating that same temple with "signs" of worship to the gods of our day. Also, we need to keep our love for God and others in check. They will know us by our love, and the love that is within us will outwardly produce good fruit. I see good fruit here all the time. This is true Christianity. |
