Hi George, Thanks for sharing this encouragement. One of my favorite scriptures on this subject is 2 Corinthians 12 where Paul is talking about the thorn in his side that just wont go away. He says: 8Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Indeed, it is through our weakness that we understand our need for redemption through Jesus. As much as I would love my struggles to go away, I know that some will never go away -- only at that point can I truly surrender my life to God. You are not alone. Love, Ben |
