(I have taken the text below from another thread that was becoming to long).

>The road to the cross is the only road to salvation.
>It's not an unusual belief for Christians. Actually,
>I think it's a very common belief among Christians that
>Jesus paid for our salvation through his sacrifice for
>mankind on the cross.

I don't know how "usual" it is, since there are a lot of Christian sects and movements with very different interpretations of the Bible (Catholics, Protestants, Adventists, Jehova's Witnesses... just to mention a few ones), and all of them think they read the Bible in the correct way.

However that may be, Jesus had a reason for sacrificing himself (to save mankind), but we are in a different situation. So let me ask more specifically: how do you think we should sacrifice ourselves? Should we take the road to the cross by paining ourselves, the more the better?
Please also answer my query about Einstein and salvation: in your opinion will Einstein be put in hell just because he did not believe in the very same way as you do? Yes, I know that only God knows the answer, but what do you think according to your faith?

Have a nice day
