Nor do I believe you are a faith healer. If you really think you are, how about arranging a laboratory experiement to prove it. Every faith healer whose ever submitted to testing has proved to be a fraud. I'm not sure I believe in faith healers either, or that God only gives one gift to a person so that person can travel the country, putting on a show, and making a name for themselves based on that one gift alone (healing). I've yet to see a "faith healer" who is true (I have many in mind); though, I have met several people (and seen them with my own eyes) who've prayed (in the name of Jesus) for the healing of people I know, and it happened immediately. God has answered my own prayers for others in this way. I don't think it makes me a "faith healer" -- but it does show that prayer works. By the way, the Holy Spirit is a gentleman, and I doubt He'd put on a show like a lab experiment to prove His power is real. I think He prefers instead to be found by the sincere in heart. |
