OK, but my question was whether lust is under any cirumstances sinful and opposite to love. I don't think it is. For example, in order to form a family, a (married) couple must perform a sexual act, and this obviously requires a certain amount of lust.

What I'm trying to tell is that if you use your own lust feelings not merely to satisfy yourself, but also to make another person feel good, then your lust is "giving". But perhaps we should discuss what we actually mean by "lust".
