Hey Genghis! First, thanks for the summations of the autobiographies. It really is shocking to relate so much to people who have been put in such a hard position. As you know, I am in love. I didn't mean to be. I have been for years, and I will probably be when my friend is in the nursing home. :^) Nevertheless, I would choose to keep this to myself. Perphaps in my own weakness this would be the only person I could lose myself in. However, there is so much pain in this "lifestyle." Your stories show that. I would rather keep it than share it. The hardest part of this type of relationship is that I still need to be there for him as a friend and aid. It would be easier to jump in a cave and sing show-tunes, but as it is I can only do that a few days per week. ;^) Seriously, I do enjoy being with him immensely. It is just also torture, and leads to odd periods of depression afterwards. I don't know how to stop any of this. I only pray that I can help him as I should. "They say that when couples go to heaven they remain together." The Bible says that we will all share a bond greater than marriage in heaven. Pretty darn cool! Remember that we will be living in the light of Love himself. We will be surrounded by him and wrapped in His warmth. I can't wait for this part. Sometimes I look around and I am shocked by how beautiful people are. It can take my breath. One day we will all see each other with a pure and unclouded love that biases of society or even ourselves can't touch. "Ah, the joys of heterosexual marriage... loved ones living happily *ever after*!!" Hehe, don't worry about the forever part. We know that forver will be great! Now is the time we need to focus on finding peace and joy. I know that that is easier said than done. "I can only comfort myself in the fact that God made me this way for a reason, and the reason must be good." Yeah, me too.
