Why is romantic the only model applicable?

| Although it is true that the BL by definition is in a relationship that is close to a romantic one for the BL, it is possible to see it in terms of a parental model or indeed that of the wider family. We are in a relationship where we are the adult figure in his life. To argue that a parent should not 'give his whole heart out to a boy' is perhaps the clearest objection; we could also look at the degree to which the pastors of a church should be emotionally involved with their flock (in the right sense). There are more forms of love than sex - a reality that we tend to overlook.... |
