AI, I think you misunderstood me. Many religions are a legitimate basis for hating the killing of innocent people -- ahteism is the only major one that is not, so far as I know. And I find it personally revolting, disgusting, and infuriating, besides a few other things, when people engage in that kind of behavior. I don't just say, "Well, God says it's wrong, so I guess it must be wrong even though I have no problem with it." No, I have a major problem with it.

My only point was that, even though I have a problem with it, I personally cannot see what right I have to make my opinion the law for anybody if this is just a random universe. Yeah, it may disgust me, but that's hardly a good enough reason. Lots of things disgust me that I wouldn't make illegal. The question is, where do I get the right to tell somebody, "DON'T DO IT!"?
