Is there an opposite? From my observations of the discussions on here, everyone is a fundamentalist of one sort or another. Presumably because we all come with our own stronly held beliefs. The fact that everyone appears to attack everyone else who differs from them seems to match AI's statement in "Decent Human Being?" - but then he is as fundamentalist as anyone else by his own definition. It could be said that liberalism is an opposite, but most liberals are as dogmatic about their position as the most ardent Christian/Moslem/.... |
