which suggests that being a BL or gay is somewhat similar to the state of being disabled - like blind or deaf; it's on the same level 'God caused it' - it raises the same set of theological issues - 'why is there suffering in the world' 'why did God make me deaf / blind / gay / a BL'. It offers a similar set of disadvantages, though perhaps being a BL can be used more obviously constructively in being good for a boy by being a mentor that might not otherwise happen. That's my take on the underlying theological issue; it ties up a number of loose ends for me! |
