The US Constitution states that NO ONE (regardless of age, sex, religion) should be restricted access from reading materials. I've seen this on posters throughout libraries. Of course this doesn't include documents that may prove "harmful" if in the "wrong" hands. But where do parents play a role? It's actually unconstitutional to restrict your child's access from information?! Interesting, eh? Shouldn't parents have a say? I'm all for protecting my child's mind from certain issues, at least until they reach a certain age. Should or shouldn't the government tell us what we can or can't allow our own children to see? I don't think this has caused a problem yet in America, but it is something to think about.
