I wonder why people always seem to focus on one particular sin out of all the terrible sins in the Bible? Is it because they are that way inclined in the first place? Often people fiercely attack the sins that they are subject to themselves and don't want to admit.

Age has shown me that God is far more merciful than most human beings. He hates ALL sin, but he does NOT hate the sinner - he wants the sinner to repent and come to him, not cast them into hell-fire.

In this board there are many who struggle with temptation and telling them what they already know will never help them - in fact it will probably harden their hearts. I suspect your rant could well be responsible for putting a few people off God and Christianity. You will have that on your conscience and have to answer for it before God just as much as I would if I did anything sexual with another male.

Please for your and our sakes learn the Law of Love from every page of the NT and don't live with just one verse here and there. The Church would have been far more effective in drawing in the sinner if it hadn't majored on homophobia in recent decades. I wonder how many sinners we have lost as a result?

If you have something constructive to say, then say it - if not, then end of conversation.

Bill
