I wonder if one confesses to being a pharisee and still harbours pharisaical thoughts about gays and boy lovers ....? I guess an occasional reminder of scriptures is a good and useful thing. But when accompanied and given in an attitude of "Thank God I am not like these vile BL/gays" then I do question where the message is coming from. Even the devil can use scripture to argue his point (Jesus' temptations). As I have said elsewhere on this board, it is about time the Church approached sinners with the attitude Jesus had rather than the way it often does. Jesus loved (and loves) us - I rather doubt that most of the attackers on this board do! If they did, they would be offering to help, not driving us away from God. What about giving us some examples and testimony of the power of God to change someones life who has been dogged by some temptation for many years? If a few people could testify to no longer being tempted by the sight of a boy after many years of looking then I would listen to them. But so far all I have heard is that some manage to avoid responding even to that temptation, but that it is still there. Which basically means they are still boy lovers but resisting temptation.
