Anyway, I found the story very moving, I want to write to the author by e-mail, to offer support for the bad & good times he had. It's very hard to be yourself around yf's when you've got eyes on you all the time & I've been blessed with having plenty of free one-2-one time with almost all of mine, due to the trust of the parents or the yf themselves, just wanting time alone. It was great to read about the authors yf coming to his aid when being "torn off a few strips" & also the support of many parents, despite "a reputation", which had followed him. I've not experienced things like that in a church environment & to be honest, I've not settled into any church for over 4 years now, to really test peoples reactions. But most churches I've been to have actively encouraged youth work & are happy to see someone spend time with the younger members. Perhaps I need to visit my local church & start some work here.
