| I havent had any dialogues with the church, mostly because I know that few would understand. The reason they would not understand is because of a lack of knowledge on the subject. That is what bothers me about the christian consultation on boylove. It should be providing accurate information to churches about the issue of adults attracted to minors, but it fails to do this. Instead, it paints a picture of boylovers as pathetic creatures in desparate need of costly support groups and constant scrutinity via "accountability groups". This warped vision does nothing to further the cause of promoting an accurate understanding, but rather reinforces the beleif that pedophiles are sick individuals in need of counseling. Thank God that the christian consultation on boylove is little more than a joke that has never actually published anything in any reputable christian journals or otherwise promoted its conclusions in any religious forum, for if it had, it wouldve done much to harm the image of boylovers and reinforce the myths it is supposed to be doing away with. |
