Surely the word "Workers" is the relevant word here. If we as boy lovers go around molesting children and wrecking their lives, then, yes I am certain God hates the actions. It is the sin he hates, but then he calls us to repentance. If a slandereer goes round wrecking other peoples lives, then God hates the actions. If a bigot goes round slating other people who don't toe their line, then God hates the action. Need I go on. Whether or not people become heterosexual, homosexual, boy/girl lovers or whatever may or may not be genetic; probably is greatly influenced by circumstances; could be learned. But I reckon that by the time most boy lovers realise what they are, there is little they can do about the way they feel; all they can do is control it or rediect it in appropriate ways. If God wanted to, he could take away the desires just like that. From all accounts, He simply does not do this. Perhaps that could be a ueful area of discussion. After all, one hears of alcoholics who are miraculaously changed even in an instant - but is sexual orientation in the same league? I am sure it is deeper rooted anyway. So "Truth Be Told", cease to attack those here who have sought to live in God's way despite their problems. I doubt that active molesters would even be part of CBF as they would soon be put off by the general pastings on here. I don't think there has been a posting I have seen that promotes sexual contact with minors - although there may have been some about guy's struggles in that area. If God really hated boy lovers then I might just as well give into my sexual desires and practice it to my hearts content, cos unless He changes me, I will remain a Boy Lover until I die. So what is your message? I cannot seek forgiveness for something I cannot change, so I am bound for hell fire am I. Well I might as well enjoy it on the way in that case. That is the logical consequence of what you are saying TBT, so be careful you don;t drive people to do what I am sure you hate. Thankfully, I know God is not like you portray him, or I would have given up years ago. I KNOW he loves me, and he helps me, and he keeps me. I know he hates if I fall into any sin, but I know he also pulls me out of the deep pit and sets me on my feet again and sets me on his way if I turn back to him. THAT is the Gospel, not a message of hatred. |
