Supporting church leaders in ministering

to BLs and GLs is the aim of a site called http://www.thetable.ca/ Although set up by various people associated with this board, the hope is that it will become a place where church leaders can go for support and encouragement when faced with a Paedophile in their congregation. Of course for all of us we regard it as relatively 'normal' as we live it all the time, but if you were a church leader who suddenly discovered that one of his lay leaders was struggling with this area of temptation, how would you react (assuming no offence has occurred). It is that sort of person who we are seeking to serve. At present however it is not reaching its target, and we are struggling to decide whether to end the project, or whether we should look for renewed enthusiasm - specifically someone willing to accept responsibility for the site. Ideally the person would be a church leader rather than a BL / GL, as that is our target audience.... |
