Just some things from over the weekend.

A small collection from events that have taken place in the last few days.

Saturday 24th - Saw a young ginger haired boy in a Kilt, wearing white socks (Kilt, like a skirt, traditional dress of Scotland, officially worn without underwear!!!)

Number 2: Got Milk again???

Again while I was putting the milk out, a boy approached. "Wheres the milk", "here" I replied. "Oh, is it a pint" & "Have you got any bottles?" he asked. "No bottles till the morning." I said.

"How much are they?" He asked, "35p" I replied. "I've only got a £1.00" he said with a sad look on his face. He was about to walk off when I said "you've got enough. With a pound (eqv to us$1.50) you can buy the milk & get 65p change". So he took the milk & walked away happy.

Sunday 25th - Went out for the day, to a place near a river. Saw plenty of kids, fishing the old way, some with nets some with normal fishing rods, all of them barefoot, which always brings a smile to my face.

To explain, I grew up watching programs like Huckleberry Finn (the TV series), where I would see boys enjoying the natural barefoot lifestyle, so to see boys walking around barefoot today, gives me a warm feeling & makes them look more natural & free of the worlds problems.

Also saw a couple of boys sitting barefoot on their parents motor boats, enjoying the sun & warmth. Spent the rest of the day on a walk of discovery, alone in the woods & the countryside.

Monday 26th - A dark blonde boy came into the venue (barefoot, carrying his shoes), he looked tired & troubled, as he seems to spend most of the time, trying to care for his deaf younger brother, who seemed to be relentlessly shouting out words that no-one could understand. He wasn't in a good mood. Probably couldn't get his own way, but his brother seemed to care but unable to help. (perhaps some work needed there.)

Another moment, a mum comes up to the counter "Do you buy children" she asked jokingly. "No, I'm afraid not" I said. A wittier & wiser me would've said "No, they're priceless", but the thought just didn't come to mind.

"Do you like Spiders, no, well they don't like you either", says the trailer for the movie "Eight Legged Freaks". Fantastic comedy/horror film, it's got a 12 cert (eqv to PG-13), it was excellent fun, a tiny bit gorry in places, seeing giant spiders being squashed by cars, but also very funny in places. Also has a young boy who's a Spider expert, who often spends time with an older man, who ran an Exotic Spider farm, where this tale began.

Theatre was not over full, plenty of kids, but was too engrossed in the film to take too much notice.

Best regards to all
