Another question was whether this passage explicitly refers to pedophilia (since sex with children often causes rumours and scandals), but I don't think so. It seems that it just refers to all sins without distinction.

This is the following sentence of the passage (available through the link below):

Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come!

So, why do you think Jesus said: "Such things must come"?
