Got to see the film again for the umptienth time & I never get tired of seeing that film. I was 14 when it came out, making it's star "Joey Cramer" about 12yo. I can't really explain how much I wanted to be Joey's best mate or even the character David friend. The film came out during a turbulant time in my life when the body was two years down the road of change & without any friends it was a difficult time & I craved the company of boys I saw on TV & in films. Joey also appeared in a lesser known movie "Clan of the White Bear" or something like that in a small cameo role in a frozen wasteland, during a war between two rival prehistoric clans. One of the warmest moments of the film could be where the female gofer at the NASA base. She says to David "Has anyone ever told you, you were cute? A girl I mean." David replies "Only my mum, but she doesn't count." (But David, What about tonnes of BL's who saw the film & also cried out "yes I think your cute too" ahhh.) I wonder what Joey's doing now????? (gofer = term used for a junior who does everything, "gofer this " or "go for" "gofer that"). All the best MF72 |
