| But...does the source really matter? There has been a proven genetic link to alcoholism, that does not mean being an alcoholic is ok. I often wonder why Im a boylover too, but Ive learned to wonder only out of curiosity, because knowing the truth wont help change me. The only person who can help you change is God, and for whatever reason Ive never heard of God actually helping someone to do that. I think that, similar to Paul's thorn, we are meant to struggle with this issue throughout our lifetime. I use the word struggle lightly though, because as you learn to accept who you are things do get easier and you end up concerned with it a lot less. Your sexual orientation will most likely never change, however as you accept that fact, your state of mind will, and the only reason you want to change is so you will be happier, so there is hope. Not hope for change, but hope for living a "normal" relatively happy life. |
