| it's a function of the circumstances and the social environment and what is going on in your head. This was demonstrated to me on holiday this summer in a very homophobic country; I was very tactile with a 16 yo in a way that back home would have been wholly out of order, but in that context it was acceptable, appropriate and innocent. The reality is that we need to be very conscious of what our motives really are - and not let that drift - but if we are innocent in our intention, then if the boy is comfortable, there isn't a problem in my experience. The difficulty is in being genuinely honest in our self assessment.... |
