Dangerous Pharisee springs to mind; Jesus was very rude about people who piled on lots of rules for others and didn't do anything to help. Mt 23 v4 says: They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. v13"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. You appear to be a new comer - and you charge in with sharp stones flying. If you want to be constructive and helpful, hang around a bit, tell us about yourself and build up a reputation for constructive comments. We are open to non-BL visitors - we've had some fascinating conversations with some, and their presence does help us to retain a sense of what is appropriate; but your comments have not been in that class so far. |
