Ginger latest: The ship just hit the fan!!!

Got an urgent phone call at work yesterday (e-mailed a fellow bl when I got a chance). Ginger's Dad found a bank statement addressed to Ginger saying that $450.00 had been deposited in his account from a bank in my area & was withdrawn in full a few days later. He wanted to know what it was about. I told her that I was helping him out with something. She then said that her 19yo son & cousin had met Ginger in town seeing him take the money out. He told them that it was from his Dad for some Golf equipment. They said, okay, but we're not going to let you walk around town with that much money on your own in case you get mugged. He bought a few things in town & then said he needed to get a bus to next town to get something else. Again they said they'd go with him & they did. They saw him later on & he said that he'd spent the rest of the money on some fishing stuff, bait etc (don't know if they saw it though). I told her about his story regarding owing the money to two men & that I thought his safety was in danger. She agreed, but thought that I'd been conned. I also told her that Metro had been approached by these two men looking for Ginger. She relayed this information to her 19yo who told both stories to Ginger's Dad & Mum, who hit the roof. When I phoned back, shortly after mailing bl, she told me that an almighty row was taking place upstairs. She said that his mum was angry at him, cause I couldn't afford to give him the money, cause I'd just left home to start a new job & she was angry that he may have deceived me to get it. She also said that if two men were after him, he should've told her & they would've got the police involved. My partner's eldest son 21yo & her cousin said that they would've given him the money, if he'd come to them saying that he was in debt & he'd been threatened. Rattata (now 14), said that Ginger had told him (as reported a few months ago), that it was a bluff & that if anyone asked it was for two men & wanted to beat him up. Metro's memory seemed to have disappeared as he denied to his mum ever seeing the two men (but thanks to advice from fellow bl's, the evidence is still on my phone & in chatroom messages from Ginger & Metro to me). Metro also denies receiving any of the money from Ginger & to be honest I kept the financial details hidden from him while making investigative enquires into Ginger's affairs. In mine & Ginger's defence, there is a possibility still that these two men are still at large. The last message from him asking for a further $150.00 would cover the expenses paid out while trying to trick my partner's 19yo & the cousin into believing that the money was for genuine purposes. So that when he arrived at the two mens' house he would've still been $150.00 short & that could've been the reason for the additional request. Needless to say that I still haven't spoken to Ginger's Dad, who left a brief & non informative message on my answer phone, that if replied to would've thrown me into the deep end un-prepared. Ginger also rang this morning at 08:46hrs, I didn't answer, under the assumption, that it could've been a trick to throw another Blackmail statement at me, cause as the saying goes "wounded animals often bite". (Besides that it's expensive cell-phone to cell-phone, cause of differing contract between companies.) So my case to this Jury of many is this, has Ginger's plan been dashed or is he still in danger from the assailants at large. I have texted Ginger online & await a responce. As he is one of my closest yf's who I've known for 5 years now, if it was a large bluff, I forgive him for his actions, based on the fact that he may not be in danger, but I still pray for him cause this problem will be at large for some time to come. Also to note that it was completely out of charachter for Ginger to pull this stunt in the first place (the blackmail attempt was not mentioned to my partner or his family last night & hopefully never will be). I am also hoping that this wounded animal will not pull another stunt in defence, maybe saying that I was paying him off for services rendered. So this is still worrying me greatly.
