First and foremost, from what I've been reading - thank you for actually being Christian. (as opposed to, as you note, They have not always operated in the love and restoration that Jesus teaches. As one who was actually driven away for a time by those claiming false mantle - thanks for the apology, btw. ::HUG::)

Secondly - everyone seems to believe I'm satan, 'round these parts, 'specially when I have the audacity to trust Jesus before the church as it stand of an age. ::shrug:: *I* believe I'm not satan, you can believe whatever you want, and I'll understand...

You write elsewhere :

It is a little unnerving that of all I have read here, noone has yet mentioned that anybody has been healed of boylove, nor have they suggested that it could happen. Except me.

I encountered one who had such removed by God, once. Within one day he prayed for its return - he could not do God's work without this gift.

How is it written? 'You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time? And why do you not even on your own initiative judge that which is right?' (luke 12:56-7)

Over 90% of all abuse is intrafamilial. The only recourse to intrafamilial abuse is a foster-care system which has over 5 times the fatality-from-abuse rate; there is no legitimate recourse. In the 1970s, the focus of the public discourse on child abuse was intrafamilial abuse; in the 1980s, it was on non-Christian religion as a hotbed of non-heterosexual orientation.

I stand in faith that this does not serve the One who said 'Whoever recieves one such child in My name recieves Me.'

It is by this that stand decried as pariah (what were Jesus' views on pariahs vs. 'respectable priests, anyways? What would Jesus do?) what once stood as venerated - how many tales which ennoble their centerpiece involve a completely-inexplicable and remarkably-close friendship between a child and a man who otherwise keeps to himself?

How many children are treated, in all honesty, with a contempt which you could not muster if you tried? (need I cite stated views on such?)

I ask you this - look not to the whims of an age, nor unto the word of any human, nor any such thing - become as a new child, not yet broken to brief and human things, and then with God discern its value.

Perhaps he shall assert that you shall know it by its fruits in the lives it touches (::ahem:: IT touches, not 'I heard on the news that...'), or perhaps he will tell you something else. It is not my place to speak for Him; it is but my place to ask that you lay down all your human thought and belief, that you might hear Him when you ask. He is, after all, rather inprone of tossing pearls where they will be trampled.

I write this, that you write :

To be brief, I think that pastor is a godly man, but he was unprepared to deal redemptively with a real sin issue, at least not THIS issue.

...and I must ask if, in fact, that which is regarded between God and myself as blessing (idiosyncratic, certainly, but blessing and path of much of His teaching...) is indeed between yourself and God 'a real sin issue.'

Please forgive me if this you have done, and I speak out of place... but one of the lessons I have, hard-learned, is to never place human assuptions before God - save to ask them to do as he would wish with them, with no attachment thereunto.

I wish words could convey properly the blessing I wish upon your journey with God.

Thank you for being here.
