Are you sure that you would want to trust me to walk around in the world doing as I will unto others? Wouldn't it be easier if I could just get a list or something? So I know what I can get away with? ;) Do you not - as each being, I believe - will for yourself that which you would wish for yourself? And, is not the whole of the law fulfilled, that one love one's fellow being as one's self? The list is there - human goodness. Why add to it? Giving humans precise lists leads to the whole 'love your neighbor, but hate your enemy...' ...which I believe was commented upon. ...a pedophile God! Ha ha! How true! He made it perfectly clear how much he loves the little ones. And that He would be happier with the rest of us if we could be more like them. ;) Some of us were blessed with a head start, in such areas. ;) Maybe that's why this "sin" of mine won't go away! I have had many sins and selfish attitudes that with prayer, fasting, and humble petition were eventually overcome. But not this one - this love for children just keeps getting worse! Hmm. Could this be true religion - helping widows and orphans? Helping widows and orphans, giving proper human respect to those deemed lesser - or, as this world goes, not kicking them if they wander too near, for reasons other than that they're someone else's property... ...I wouldn't want to go so far as to worship my passing fantasies ;), but there's a few people out there who count me the sole goodness to have ever graced their life... I but hope that can be enough. I know this much - with this have I been blessed. It is with a world which hates and hurts to cover its own crimes that I am burdened... ...but, that God has lain a place has been some signifigant protection. ;) (limitless, thus far, but I haven't set about testing its limits, either...) |
