Hi Drifter,

I can absolutely agree with all of you on this topic. I'm so glad that you guys are seeing what we have as a gift. That is exactly what it is. But it is a gift with some great responsabilities attatched to it. I must say that I agree with Dakota when he said that we must each decide when, where, and how we are going to use our gift.

If there is one thing I have come to understand about God is that He has great timing. It's a fact that is evident through-out the Bible. So, if that is true, then as His children, we must have great timing. And He will give us that, too, by His Holy Spirit. It's not something that comes instantly, you understand, but it's like everything else spiritual, it is a developed thing. That too will happen in it's right time in our lives.

Another thing I have learned thus far is that God knows just exactly how He is going to transform us non-spiritual creatures into His very own children. He has got Himself a great plan for all of us, but He goes about it with us as individuals. Just as any good father would treat his children and teach them and show them how to grow, God treats us as individuals.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that while we must use our gifts for Him, and certainly our love for boys is indeed a gift, we must also allow Him to guide us in how, when, where etc. to use each gift. We have so much good within us, by the power of the Holy Spirit, but that good must come out of us in the way God wants it to.

On a personal note, I have a young friend right now, but my friendship with him is a lot different than that which I shared with the boy before him. He does not spend nights with me like L. did, and I really do not see him as often, either. But my love for him is probably just as strong (and I hope his is for me as well...)and our friendship is probably just as special for both of us. Just as God treats US as individuals, I am learning to treat each and every relationship I have with anyone (boys or otherwise) with the very same respect. I'm not great at it, but I'm working at it.

Hey, great topic, man! God Bless you, brother.

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
