(depending on your culture) being that he is only 11, it is still normal for boys getting close to or just reaching puberty to have sexual fantasies. They become interested in girls (or guys or boys, or whatever it may be), they start talking about sex with their friends all the time, they start saying dirty jokes, they start having sexual fantasies, they begin masturbating, etc. I believe this is a normal part of growing up, and you shouldnt be overly concerned with this. The problem would be if he turns porn into a habbit. When I was growing up (not that long ago) it was difficult for a kid to get a hold of porn, someone always finds a way though, and so I think most kids growin up looked at porn once or twice. The problem now is that with the internet porn is too easy to find and a kid who goes online unsupervised could find himself becoming addicted to porn. It is possible this kid has seen porn, but it is also possible that his images come only from his own mind, from things he sees on tv, and from stories his friends have told him. I would simply warn him that there are bad things out there that you shouldnt look at because they mess up your mind. Unless you find out that he has in fact been looking at alot of porn, I think a simple warning is enough. love in christ, Drifter |
