| Ah... I see. I once saw a boy about 10 years old sitting in a barber's chair a week before school started, and he had the most gorgeous dark-ginger hair I'd ever seen. It was getting kinda long, but the color of his hair was beautiful. I couldn't help but not stare. And then they took the scissors to it. The clippers actually. Cut all that gorgeous hair off! I was tempted to ask for some to take home with me. His new haircut changed the look of his hair -- the color was more a plain red instead of the deep-ginger hues that it had been a few minutes before. I could've cried. And he wasn't even my kid. My own YF (who was practically my stepson) kept asking to have his hair cut short like that, and I wouldn't let him do that. I was the one who always took him to get his hair cut -- we usually did it together. You know it, I kept an eye on the barber and an ear on my YF. Ain't no way I was gonna let them cut off all of his beautiful blond hair!! :) |
