Wasn't even at puberty the last time I saw him, which was 18. He still looked like he was 12. But he was as mature and responsible as the rest of us. As for the physical attention. Even with entering puberty so late, one still, usually projects the maturity of their peers. I can't judge your personal relationship with him, but speaking from my knowledge, a healthy 16 year old, post pubecent or not, shouldn't be as physically affectionate toward another male as say a 10 year old would. Hugs, pats on the back, the cliche masculine shoulder massage, all are normal, but sitting in another males lap, or rubbing one another's back........ I just can't see as normal. But, as I say, I can't judge your particular case because I personally do not know either one of you. He should be learning how to be an independent adult man. It may be a slow process, however he is old enough to start. |
