1) Your ex has told her that you are a BL. I'm not sure whether your ex knew that, has guessed that or is just gossiping to that effect. But for the purposes of the argument, that is one possibility. This is the most fraught; in the worst case scenario she may challenge you directly, and you will have to decide whether to lie or not - and if you don't, then it gets really hairy. 2) His mother is suspecting for other reasons that you are a BL, though has no objective evidence for it. It's less like that she will challenge you directly, though not impossible, especially if you invite the question with a comment such as 'Have I done something wrong'. 3) There's some other issue - indeed it may simply be that you are being classed as one of his other friends whom he's being cut off for a while. At least in this case the BL thing isn't on the agenda..... It might make sense to leave it a week, and then phone her with a question such as 'How's he doing, and what can I do to help?' Her response to that may allow you to better gauge what's going on - and the phoning leaves you more space to cope with sudden shocks. Let us know how you go on.... |
