Another Friday, another BM

I left work early today to go hang with my 6yo nephew (same from last friday's story) and play some Playstation2. I was helping his dad with changing a tire when he got home from school. Immediately, he saw me and his eye's lit up (I see this boy, at least every other day, and he still acts like it's been weeks every time he sees me). His first statement was, "CAN YOU PLAY THE PLAY STATION!?" "Sure", I said as we headed off to his room. As we set up for our session he looked at me and asked "Do you like coming here" meaning his house, which I am at all the time. "Of course I do" I told him. "Why" he asked. I looked at him in the eyes, and stated "Because I get to see you". He said nothing, but his smile told me everything. What I found funny was that he reacted as if he thought I was joking with him. His eyes gave me a "do you really mean that" look. And I reassured him by smiling at him and rustling up his hair. His eyes glazed over and I could tell his little mind was turning. It appeared as if he were still enjoying what I had just told him. After playing for about an hour with him, they took off and I headed over to my yf's house to play MORE playstation2. |
