...but I can provide you with a couple of things from last night. Was in the venue as usual, when 2 boys dressed in yellow, the oldest around 9, the youngest 8, were buying sweets, drinks etc to snack out before sleeping tonight. The youngest boy wasn't wearing socks in his loose fitting shoes & both had that cute boyishness about them. Well the 2nd time they came up to the counter the oldest said, will you let us off 8cents cause we dont have enough money, I said yeh, sure. I price checked the item they selected & it was over a dollar more than they wanted to spend. So I directed them to the biscuit aisle, where I told them to pick up an item saying 100% free. "It says Us$2.00 on the label", I said it should still be scanning at the special offer price of Us$1.00 from last week. Sure enough it did & they left excited & happy, waving goodbye to me as they went. The 2nd incident, was seeing the Sri Lankan lad again from the other night, this time with an older boy & a girl, he turned out to be 17, despite being small for his age, but we chatted on occasions & as he left last night he asked me "are you my friend bruv", "yeh" I said & he approached me & we touched fists with the usual "respect" comment that goes with that greeting & they left, waving goodbye. Another boy I want to bring to you is one who's working in another department, cleaning tables. He's 17, but looks about 12 (facially, bodily 15). I've been asking about him. I have spoken to him on a couple of occasions & he's very friendly with most people, but in the dinning room, he's always surrounded by workmates. A good female friend says that he lives with his nan, but his Sv says that he's got a bit of an attitude problem when it comes to work & calls her cruel for the way he's asked to do things. I want to get to know him & maybe find out why hes not living with his parents, maybe he needs an af in his life. Although as I said he is 17, he doesn't look mature enough to cope with life on his own. Here's hoping I can talk to him soon. TTYL - Halo |
