... here, in the middle of a work day "Can you come over?" "Sorry, buddy, gotta work." Ugh...... even though I am my own boss, I still have to work, because clients are my boss. He is off from school today, and that he thinks to call me because he wants to be with me brightens my day. Sadly he has a an engagement this evening, otherwise I would go be with him then. Still, may munday work day was spruced up thanks to his sweet voice. Speaking of which, I have noticed that I seem to have a unique ability to pick out a boys voice from a womans voice, over the phone. My job requires me to make phone calls often and I notice that when a boy answers I always catch it, and ask for his parents. I notice others I work with will always make the mistake of calling a boy mam, thinking they are a woman. I remember having that happen to me all the time when I answered the phone at my house, when I was a kid (it ticked me off too). I've always wanted to bring that subject up with my friends, but it would seem a bit suspicious, at least in my mind. |
