Mavrick And Others

Mavrick and Others… I just finished reading your story, some of the responses, and J's story, to my dear friend, Chris, over the 'phone. Chris has been through some very trying times during the past couple of years, and I think he needed to hear your story. Just this past weekend he was picked up for a violation of his probation. Because of depression and other circumstances in his life, he has been missing work. He has also failed to attend required counselling sessions regularly, and the classes that he was supposed to attend as a condition of his probation. Chris could see that the internet was too much of a temptation for him, so today he gave it up, and turned his computer over to his probation officer. As a result, he will be unable to come to the forum frequently, except, perhaps at the local library. Someone told him that perhaps CBLF wasn't the best place to be, so I printed out Mavrick's story and read it to him. I will be mailing it to him today to show to the people in his class, and that person in particular, to prove that it is a good place to be. Without CBLF, many people would give up in despair. I dare say that CBLF has saved lives and given many hope where there was none before. God has truly blessed us there. I see a lot of new people at CBLF, and also that a lot of people who used to come here don't post any more. It made me wonder if God was still here. I am happy to know that with people such as Mavrick and J, and Drifter, Billbo, Drew, Reason Filled… just to mention a few… God has not left us. As I was reading to Chris, I had to stop several times as tears filled my eyes from the emotion I felt in Mavrick's words, and the love in J's response. God's love has certainly been multiplied through what they are sharing, and the forgiveness that they have shown. We have no way of knowing how many lives are being touched by this single relationship. Please, everyone, continue in prayer for Chris. We all have so many obstacles to hurdle. Satan is so clever, so devious… and always throwing stumbling blocks in our path. Mavrick, don't you dare go away! You have too much to share with us. J, you have a beautiful gift for writing, and an incredible testimony. God richly bless you both. (and please pray for me, too) ~ Andy
