Something is wrong with your theory that a person cannot lose the Holy spirit (which I would assume requires you to lose your salvation). One or the other must be a wrong interpretation or else the bible lies. I say this because Ive seen this happen countless times. The reasoning that they must be in inner turmoil and I just dont realize it does not hold up simply because several of these people are very close friends and I have witnessed the change in their lives, I saw them actually come out of that turmoil and find peace by accepting their gay side and no longer limiting themselves to a lonely, celibate existence. This isnt something Ive remotely heard about, its something Ive observed in people close to me. In fact, there are now churches that teach that it is ok to be in gay relationships. Some of these are run by gay pastors but others are more mainstream and just happen to have that point of view, I find it hard to believe that you would assume every gay who attends such a church is either unsaved or is in turmoil over their sin, I know a few (these I dont know closely, just online acquaintances) and they dont seem to be in any turmoil. In an earlier post, I gave a link to the story of Doug Pinnick, the lead singer of King's X, I know you read it because you were the only person to respond to the post. That is an example of how these things happen, Obviously, this isnt a person I know personally, but it coincides with things Ive observed (though in this case he seems to have separated himself completely from religion and not just accepted the gay side and continued living as a christian).
