But you've got to make sure you understand what Paul wrote in the light of what Jesus said. You have to be careful to stick to the fundamentals. Otherwise you're playing the dangerous game Paul warned about: "If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned" (Gal 1:9)

I find Paul's comments to the Colossians helpful in understanding the church's interpretation of what it says Paul writes about homosexuality: "Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensul indulgence." (Col 2:23)
