But it's pretty inevitable that you will lust after someone when you do it. Now, I have talked extensively with other Christians on this matter, and everyone's opinion differs. Some feel that if you only fantasize about sex, but not with anyone in particular; like fantasizing about sexual relations with your future wife, whoever she may be.

The key is, you have to know your limits. Some claim that doing it every once in awhile keeps them "in balance", where they don't have their "juices" overpowering their thought process. Some find that doing it pulls them toward sexual sin, where they start thinking and desiring it all the time.

Personally, I believe that it is not sinful to occasionally do it as a release. What is the logic behind it being sinful when you do it consciously, yet when your subconscious does it in your sleep (with vivid visuals) it's just fine.
