Dear Oliver, Just to say that I've been praying for you today, and I'll try to remember to pray for you at around the time you meet your youth pastor, which I'm guessing will roughly my bed-time over here! And I wanted to share what happened when I told a pastor... But first, I'm so glad to hear that someone was preaching from Romans 1 and talking about the main point of the chapter instead of just zooming in on the verses about homosexuality. The way it was preached sounds very fair. As I see it, those particular verses are there simply because Paul wanted to quote an example of a lifestyle that worships the created thing rather than the creator, and he happened to choose some of what he saw as the worst excesses of decadent homosexual lifestyles in his society, because in his view they were a good example.
