This one was made famous by Saint Jose Maria de Balaguer. Sanctity is not a calling for a select few, it is a calling for everyone. If God calls you to be an accountant, then you are doing God's work by being the best accountant that you can be. If God calls you to be a construction worker, then you do God's work by being the best construction worker. If you are a teacher, then be the best teacher. Glorify God by doing your best in everything that you do. Dedicate everything that you do to God, and give 100% in everything that you do, and you will be glorifying God. You will be glorifying him by living up to your maximum potential (he gave you that potential so that you would use it afterall) and by being an example to all those who are unsaved. Wouldn't it be something if managers across the world started to realize that all of their best employees were christians? What an incredible testimony that would be.

Now in all fairness, I have to admit that this is an area that I fail at miserably all the time. Im a student, I should really be an A student because Im more intelligent than most people in my classes, but Im not because I fail to study as much as I should. I admit this is an area I fail at quite often. But it is something that I need to work on, and many people here probably do too. I do believe that by dedicating everything you do to God and then doing it as best as you can, giving 100% and not being satisfied with doing just enough to get by, you are working for God.
