Hi Genghis,

I share many of your traits. I play paino too and have had the honor to play with some very well respected Christain artists and worship leaders as well. I was also coaching a young man on paino. I"m not sure whether I will be able to still or not.

Thank you for the verse. It fits perfectly with what I/we are dealing with. However, I disagree that you would die the second death if Jesus were to come back today. Romans 8 says we are blameless in Christ. Outside of Christ we are guilty. So, if you believe and walk with God, stumbling as you go or not, then Christ will stand for us before the Great White Thrown Judgement spoken of in Rev 20: 11-15--some believe we won't even see this judgement.

What we have to remember, however, is that there is also a judgement seat of Christ. Referred in 2 Cor 5: 10-11 and Rom 14:10, where we will be given an account of our life here on Earth. Did we submit to His riteousness and live a life of obedience, gaining a great reward, or did we just get our foot in the door, in heaven, yes, but very little to show for it.

I'm inclined to think that a bit of grief to overcome sin here on Earth is well worth the reward I will get for eternity by avoiding temptation or learning to subside it for the sake of not misleading others. Keep plugging along. We all will get there and enjoy the fruits God gives us here on Earth, as we as pilgrims pass through this life and onto the next having to rely on Him while still here. Remember, God will make a way, where there seems to be no way. That's one of my favorite praise songs too.

Blessings,
Oliver
