to set standards and boundaries. When my mom found me playing doctor with friends, she didn't freak out, but she took us all aside and told us that is was inappropriate. Had she simply said, excuse me, and closed the door, I would be quite angry with her, as an adult. We learn to stay away from certain things as a result of our upbringing. Sex is a strong enough detractant from God when we are adults, why should we allow it to affect our kids? People sleeping around, believe it or not is against God. It is wrong. I'm not going to ignore that, and let kids join in. Sorry. |
