Hi TBL,

Just a short note....

When I went to court I could not afford an attorney, so I had to take the one that was appointed to me by the court. Take it from me, court appointed Lawyers are no good at all. The "best" that that man could do for me was a plea-bargin that has been nothing but trouble for me to this very day. And when I asked him what the difference would be if I had been paying for his services, the answer he gave me really made me mad. I hate to say it, but in this country we really DO get the "justice" that we can afford or pay for.

You are in the position to arrange for a lawyer for this person and that lawyer may be his only hope for a better life after the legal "dust" has settled. Believe me, he will be made to pay for his crime/mistake regardless of the skill of the lawyer. Our courts are set up that way. But a good lawyer COULD make a difference in whether or not his punnishment has a possative affect on the rest of his life. As far as my experience goes, it has been God and some very good friends who have made a difference for me, the bad court decision has trully played hell with my life and if not for them, I might not have been here now to be able to write this response to your post. I can only dream of the difference a good lawyer would have made for me.

God Bless!

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
