Looking towards the future.

Just a summary of a couple of days spent at my fiancee's house. I'll be back there for 8 days to do some more work. During the short time, I got to see Ginger, who seems (according to Rattata), has been turning his attentions towards the normal way of life (girls), but not without making the odd pass as Rattata himself!?!?! He wanted to spend time with me yesterday, but I was heading home & he actually had to go to work with his Dad instead anyway. Rattata says he's sort of scared about me, but I said that he has to tell me that himself, as we've known each other 5 years, which is long enough for him to be honest with me (recent events, closed, excluded of course). Maybe some catchup will be avaliable next week. On the up side he is still going to school, as he's currently doing his Mock Exams at the moment. Metro, I saw briefly on the stairs, his Dad still reads his chat messages, but he's already given me another name to write to, which his Dad doesn't have access to. I only write about new bands I want him to check out anyway. We also discussed Xmas presents, cause I don't remember getting them presents last year???? DX was over for a couple of days on & off. His life is settling down a bit at home (better than when he was 12). His Dad is a compulsive drinker, they still fight, but DX is big enough to hit back now! Sitting in the bedroom Thursday night, there was a collection of useful equipment on the table, used for general passtime activities. I sat on Spinarak's bed with DX. Spinarak & the older one (19) were also in the room, smoking & watching soccor on TV. DX exclaimed how strange it was to him, as he reminised about meeting me & talking to me as frightened 12yo & here he was still close trusting friends with me at 15yo. Early last year he told me that he might get kicked out of his home at 16. Spinarak's brother said it would be unlikely, but I made a vow to help him out if that ever happened, to make sure the right people (counsel officials, youth service, etc), would be made aware of it to help him find a place to stay. My partner would put him up no problem (3 years ago that would've been unthinkable, as she hated the boy & me for hanging around with him). DX also remembered the time when at 12yo we all had too much to drink one day & my quick thinking by riding to the shop on a flat tyre to get a bottle of water, stopped him dehydrating. Ginger was 11 at the time, he also had too much, but he was used to drinking (sigh). Spinarak was 14, he hindered efforts to help DX more than anything that day, but eventually I was grateful to help him back home safely. DX was fine the next day, after emptying his stomach of alcohol in the more common way. There was also a time, when DX, me & two other of his friends were drinking in a graveyard. One of his mates, started hylucinating, seeing ghosts rising out of the graves. That was a scary time, as he also saw us as demons. We got him home safely as well that time. I know what your thinking, but I was younger then & didn't have anyone to relate problems to back then. DX was acutally grateful, cause it taught him a lesson about excessive drinking & he has stopped it now thanks to that experience. He wants to stop smoking special cigs as well, but needs an environment away from the activity to do that. That is where I could help him again. Halo |
