I think that each of us may come to a different place in terms of what to do with our sexual desire. Perhaps seeing the desire as a real part of who you are might change the way you "attack" it? I don't believe that we can completely rid ourselves of these natural feelings. I know of a man who went through the ex-gay movement, finally marrying and having children of his own. He is a very devout Christian who leads a fulfilling ministry. Even he continues to struggle with feelings for boys. I think Paul indicates in his letter to the Romans that it is possible to channel that energy in a positive way. People sometimes talk of giving over their burdens to God. It is easily said, and very difficult to do. I'm praying for you. Peace of Christ, Bach |
