Hi Maverick,

I am sitting here in the middle of the public library, barely holding back tears of my own. Brother, I cannot express easily how your words have helped me through some very difficult times. And your prayers have not fallen on deaf ears.....not at all. God listens! And every prayer gets an answer. Your prayers for me have been wonderfully answered, and I pray that those I offer for you will be as well. I know they will. Our God, our Father listens and trully cares. As only a Father can!

An anchor is a great and useful thing for a man in a boat. It holds the boat to the place that it needs to stay. It helps when one is fishing or when one needs to safely ride out a rough storm. And the life of a Christian is very much like that of a man in a boat. Sometimes the man is fishing ("Come, I will make you a fisher of men."....), and quite often that man will have to ride out some fairly bad storms. Life is just full of fairly bad storms! I have read about your bad storms, my friend, and you have also read about mine. We have prayed for one another and have inspired one another. We are indeed ships that pass in the night.

Indeed, Jesus Christ has been, and always will be, my anchor as well. I doubt that I would be alive right now to type this post if He were not. He is my Rock, my Savior, my Lord, my Brother and Friend. And I am so grateful to Him for everything....the good AND the bad. Because I cannot count the times that the bad has either led me to, or allowed me to appreciate the good. In fact, it is true; all things DO work for the good for those who are in Jesus Christ. I give my word and testimony on that particular fact, and I know, Maverick, that you have come to understand this truth in your own life.

Life is so painful at times. Lots of times. But the anchor to which we are attatched is able to keep us from being swept away by the pain. Life is full of storms, but our anchor has no problem keeping us safe. Our boats can rock and sway by the winds and waves, and many times we look all around us and think, "Oh God, where are you? This is way too much for me. Way too much!". But even the worst of the storms cannot, WILL not, tip our boats because Jesus Christ is Lord!!! He is Lord!!!

Thank YOU, Maverick. I thank both you and J. Andy read me your first posts the very day I got out of jail and we were both in tears of joy before he was even halfway through. And since then, he filled me in on current news about you when I could not go online. And it has blessed me greatly. You are not quite the same as us because you are not sexually attracted, but while most would reject us because we are, you have decided to recognise the fact that your anchor and our anchor are one and the same. God Bless You, Brother!

The chain? It is our faith. It is also that which helps us in our faith, like this Forum for instance. Would we even know one another if not for this forum? I doubt it. It is also the help we give and recieve from those whom we meet on the ocean, in our boats, anchored to Christ Jesus. (Andy has been one of my very best friends in the whole world for a long time now, too. It's wonderful to share a friendship with you, brother.)

I must go for now. God greatly and lovingly bless both you and J!!! I love the both of you and I am so grateful for your being here with us!!!

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
