| Are older than they appear. That is because child labor laws vary based on age. A 16 year old can work more hours before having to be payed overtime than a 12 year old can, so if you look 12 but are 16, you have a much better chance of landing a role than if you really are 12 and look that way. Of course, Im speaking of the laws in Hollywood which are what I am familiar with, the same may not apply in whichever country it was that this movie was filmed. But it is true of Hollywood (unless things have changed since I was there). |
