Registering your username, or "nick" has a few advantages: 1. We know that it is really you when you post. (Even though you are still anonymous). 2. Nobody else can pretend to be you by using your registered nick. - and not least of all - 3. You get your name in bold when you post! It helps to establish you as a regular on the board, which helps in building friendships.
