I guess I hit a spot we all feel deeply about. :-) I love my YF very, very dearly, much more than any boy I've known. A main part of why I love him so much is because he loves me back. Not in the "erotic" sense like I have, of course. According to his brother, my YF never had any real friends of his own, unlike his siblings, and I guess I meant a lot to him when I came into his life. He says I'm almost all the world to my YF (but he's too embarassed to tell me that!). A second reason why I love him is his personality. He's quiet, sweet and gentle, but not shy. The third reason, and it's hard to say this because it's superficial, is for his looks. He really is a beautiful boy, and it is hard to fight back the lustful thoughts. But I think my situation is not too different from that guy who has a beautiful girlfriend. If he's Christian, he has to keep his feelings in check, and I pray constantly for God to help me with those thoughts. In my last post I said the reason leading up to my answer was a strange one, but I never really explained why. Most people who responded to the survey said they used to be more depressive before than now. In my case, I probably am more depressive now than before! It's because I finally have a YF, and I know the intense joys that having a YF brings - yet I also realize that the relationship is fragile, and cannot possibly last at the same level for long. Once my YF grows older, the relationship will gradually lose intensity until it turns into a standard friendship, hopefully still close. When will I meet my next YF? It may be months or years. So, most BLs' advice would be to "enjoy it while it lasts". That's what gets me so depressed. As RF said, it's probably best to pursue a heterosexual relationship, and get my emotional and sexual needs fulfilled through that (the latter after marriage of course!). Genghis |
