Prayers would be appreciated

I don't often make prayer requests here. In fact I think this is the first time. I'm going in the hospital thursday for a heart bypass operation. While I was off work recovering from the stroke I had in late November, I took the opportunity to have some tests done. One of them showed possible blockages in my heart. So I had a cardiac catheter done last Thursday and it confirmed it and showed it was pretty bad. They admitted me to the hospital right from the cath lab, planning on keeping me there for monitoring till surgery. But stubborn me said I was not sure I wanted the surgery and demanded to be released. After taking a couple days to get my head right, I agreed to the surgery and they rushed around to schedule it asap, which is why it's so soon and I haven't mentioned it till now. I'm a bit overwhelmed and am just going thru the motions right now. I have never had a lot of health problems in the past, but now things are going wrong right and left. I had back surgery in 2001 and a stroke late last year, and now this. (Not related to the stroke, BTW) If God is trying to get my attention, HE HAS IT!! This will either be a triple or quad bypass, depending on what they find when they crack open my chest. Obviously, I'll be offline for a while. Any and all prayers will be appreciated. Reading back over this, I sound quite cold and impassionate. Sorry, but I'm a little numb right now. Dakota |
